Giani Granite Countertop Paint Kit Review

This year, I decided to change up my typical New Year's resolution. I always say I am going to eat healthier and exercise more, and I still plan to do those things, but I decided to make my actual resolution something different. Something that I had never done before and something that I desperately needed to do. Home improvement projects.

The first project that I decided to take on this year were the counter tops in my kitchen. When I purchased my home 10 years ago, the first thing I said when I walked in the kitchen and saw the sea foam green counters was "these counter tops have got to go". Well, here I was, 10 years later, still looking at sea foam green counters. I have always hated them, it's just one of those things I never bothered to get around to.

Luckily, I was offered the opportunity to review Giani Granite Countertop Paint Kit, so I started off my 2013 resolution with a bang!

Giani Granite is great for kitchen and bathroom countertops, vanities and more! It is fun and easy to apply and will give your kitchen or bathroom a complete makeover without breaking the bank. The Giani kits sell for just $69.95 online or at lots of local Walmart stores. The kit has everything you need to completely redo your counters and it's so easy to do!

Check out this video from Giani's website:

So, back to my counter tops. As I mentioned before, they were a lovely shade {insert sarcasm} of sea foam green. One of my best friends used Giani Granite on her counters about 2 years ago, so I asked her to assist me since I have never been much of a DIY kind of girl before. She gladly agreed and came over and helped me along the way.

The process was super easy! First you apply the primer, then let it dry. Then you apply the mineral paints to your liking. I chose the Chocolate Brown kit for my kitchen. My friend and I played around with the colors until we got it just right then left it to dry. Then later that night we applied the first layer of topcoat. We left that to dry overnight and applied the second layer of topcoat the next day. Easy peasy.

Here is the before and after picture of my countertops:

So, what do you think?

I absolutely LOVE it!! I just can't say enough about it! I get so many compliments on it and no one can believe that it is paint or that it is so inexpensive!

I would highly recommend Giani Granite Countertop Paint Kits to anyone and everyone! If you've been putting off redoing your kitchen or bathroom counters, all I can say is: DON'T! This is so affordable and easy and the results are absolutely gorgeous. You will definitely not regret revamping your kitchen or bathroom countertops with Giani Granite!

I did not receive compensation for this post. I did receive product(s) mentioned above to facilitate the review. All opinions are 100% mine.

Love your "new" counter top. I have saved to show my husband, I would love to do this to ours.
