Cassava root is the primary energy source for 800 million people all over the planet, and there are wonderful efforts going on right now to teach even more communities how to grow and harvest cassava.”
I received 4 flavors of Crisproot Chips for review: original, Sea Salt, BBQ Bliss & Thai Ginger.
Here is a little about each flavor from their website:
An old family recipe with a kiss of garlic, a smidge of sugar, and a pinch of salt. It’s the flavor that started it all. It might sound unusual, but once you try this addictive combination of sweet and savory, you’ll be hooked.
CrispRoot chips lightly sprinkled with a touch of sea salt. Sometimes, it’s all about the simple things in life. Sea Salt Crisproot chips bring out cassava’s nutty, naturally delicious flavor, and of course, there’s the crunch!
The name says it all. This barbecue flavor – sweet and smoky with brown sugar, chilies and spices – will curb your craving for the real thing.
Go on an exotic holiday with Thai Ginger Crisproot Chips! This inspired ginger-lemongrass flavor will take you on a whole new adventure!
All Crisproot Chips have no trans fat, no cholesterol, and are dairy and gluten free! They also have twice the fiber and 30% less fat than regular chips.
My husband and I are big fans of chips, so we were very excited to give Cripsroots a try. My favorite was the Sea Salt flavor. They are salty and crunchy, which is just right for me! My husband preferred the BBQ Bliss. He loves the taste of all of the different spices they have. We both liked the Original flavor, though my husband preferred them with a dip, and I like them without. Crisproot chips are very crunchy – which I love – so I didn’t want to make my chips soggy with dip! We saved Thai Ginger for last because I am not a fan of anything involving ginger, though I did taste one, just so I could give you an honest review. Though they were not terrible by any means, I did not like this flavor, but remember, I do not like ginger, which is the main flavor of this chip! My husband is not a huge fan of ginger himself, but he actually seemed to like them and proceeded to eat a few more after the initial taste test.
Overall, Crisproot chips are very good. Crunchier than any other chip I have eaten, which scored major points for me. I also love the fact that they taste so good and are so much better for you than regular chips!
I would highly recommend Crisproot chips to anyone! They have great flavors to choose from and are so much better for you than the average chip.
